Good morning, Erin. Happy Valentine’s Day! …by which I mean this was supposed to be my Valentine’s gift to you, were it not for the…um, exciting start to February mucking up my carefully-planned schedule for 2025.  But—alas!—it was not meant to be, as is the case with so many of my plans. Letter #19: A Business Proposal

  Good afternoon, Erin.    When I graduated from college, my friend and I drove down to Florida and, as we went, kept a detailed travelogue of the whole trip. Y’know, how long it took to get from one state to the next, which CDs we listened to (and whose turn it was to pick), where we stopped for meals, the price of gas, all the different license plates—that sort of thing. Straightforward stuff, like taking minutes at a meeting.   The thing is...amidst the standard fare of mileage and time stamps, I ran a little narrative thread my friend didn't know about: after spotting some trees cordoned off behind a fence along a certain stretch of highway, I started weaving in my plans to raise an army of trees to march back and liberate them on the trip home. And I kept referencing this throughout the whole of the rest of the travelogue: “Leaving Georgia. Letter #152: Vincenzo Re-Watch

Good morning, Erin. Fate intervenes at the strangest times.  …is a really overblown way of saying I suddenly felt like rewatching Vincenzo . Admittedly, it’s been a while since I jumped into it, so I can’t quite remember why I started—but the important thing is that I did it, that this is undoubtedly THE show you would want me to revisit, and that I don’t have nearly as many notes as I did last time! “...which means this letter will be twice as long as the first one?” I hear you say. To which I give a wry smile, because you know me so well. But also…no, it’ll be shorter. Promise. I mean, I haven’t started writing it, yet, but preamble-Daryl promises. With great sincerity.
